Finance in Support of Nature

There is a high dependency of the financial sector on healthy ecosystems; therefore, significant investments in nature are needed. In this study the attention is on investing in the specific category of regulating ecosystem services. For these services like pollination, soil biodiversity and water quality, new financial elements are suggested. They can help to mobilize more private financial institutions to invest in regulating ecosystem services and to scale up PES.
