Filing a complaint about a healthcare provider with a dispute settlement authority
If the contact with your care provider was different from what you expected, for example, something did not go well with your treatment, and you have made a complaint that has not been resolved, you can forward your complaint to a geschilleninstantie (disputes committee).

Dispute settlement authority in healthcare
You must send your complaint to a recognised dispute settlement authority (in Dutch). Ask your healthcare provider which body this is. Or check its website, as this information is often listed there. Every healthcare provider must be affiliated with a dispute settlement authority.
The decision made by the dispute settlement authority is binding for both parties.
Filing a complaint with the Central Disciplinary Committee for the Healthcare Sector
You can also file a complaint with the Central Disciplinary Committee for the Healthcare Sector regarding a physician or healthcare institution.
