Submitting an application for appointing a guardian after the death of a parent/parents

If the parents of a minor have died and if they have made no arrangements for guardianship after their death, the district court will appoint a guardian. This can be a family member or a youth protection agency (stichting jeugdbescherming). If you want to be appointed as the guardian, you can make an application to the district court for this.
