Applying for and activating a DigiD

Repeating DigiD application if your application fails
Your application for DigiD may be unsuccessful. If this occurs, you will have to submit a new DigiD application. This might happen if you have:
- forgotten your username;
- forgotten your password (however, you do not need to apply for a new DigiD if you provided your telephone number or email address in your first DigiD application. In that case, you can simply recover your password);
- not used your DigiD for three years;
- not activated your DigiD within 21 days.
