Filing a complaint about a court or court official
Do you have a complaint about a court or court official? For example, do you feel you have had to wait too long for an answer to your letter? If so, you can file a complaint with the court. You can also file a complaint about a court official, magistrate or judge, or about the College van Beroep voor het bedrijfsleven – CBb (Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal) or the Centrale Raad van Beroep – CRvB (Central Appeals Tribunal).

Conditions for filing a complaint about a court
Examples of situations in which you can file a complaint are:
- if you have had to wait too long for an answer to your letter; or
- if you think that you were sent the wrong information.
You cannot file a complaint if you disagree with a ruling or decision of the court. However, you can often appeal. On the rechtspraak.nl website you will find a list of situations in which you can file a complaint (link in Dutch).
Filing a complaint with the court
Each court and court of appeal has its own complaint form. File your complaint by using the complaint form for the appropriate court or court of appeal (link in Dutch) on the rechtspraak.nl website. You must file your complaint within 1 year of the date of the event you wish to complain about.
