Help with finding a care home or nursing home
Your regional care administration office can help you find a place in a care home or nursing home nearby. They can help you make your choice. The care administration office must make sure independent client support is available to you.

Applying for a place in a care home or nursing home
You can only get a place in a care or nursing home if you have a care needs assessment for long-term residential care. This assessment is issued by the Care Needs Assessment Centre (CIZ). It states that you are eligible for appropriate care under the Long-term care act (WLZ). You do not need a care needs assessment to get a place in a private care or nursing home.
