Applying for a Wajong benefit
Have you been ill or disabled from a young age? And are you permanently unable to work as a result? If so, you may get a benefit under the Wet arbeidsongeschiktheidsvoorziening jonggehandicapten, or Wajong for short (Invalidity Insurance Act (Young Disabled Persons)).

Conditions you must meet to get a Wajong benefit
To get a Wajong benefit, you must meet a number of conditions. For example, you must be unable to work, now and in the future. You can find all the conditions for a Wajong benefit on UWV’s website (Employee Insurance Agency).
How to apply for a Wajong benefit
UWV will check if you are able to work. This is called arbeidsvermogen (ability to work). To get a Wajong benefit, you must first ask UWV for a Beoordeling arbeidsvermogen (work capacity evaluation).
