“Dialogue and Dissent”. Strategic partnerships for ‘lobby and advocacy’
Based on this call a maximum of 25 civil society organizations or consortiums consisting of civil society organizations will be selected as a strategic partner in the area of ‘lobby and advocacy’ for the period 2016-2020.
Prerequisites
Organizations are only considered to be eligible for becoming a strategic partner when they meet the following set of criteria:
- Threshold criteria: criteria which every application for a partnership needs to meet. An application will be rejected in any case in which an organization does not meet one or more criteria.
- Selection criteria of the partner:
- Proven track record on lobby and advocacy as well as in strengthening of civil society organisations in low- and lower-middle income countries.
- Proven strategic potential: Criteria relating to the quality of the Theory of Change underlying the organisation’s intended goal for the partnership.
After the selection, partners will be invited to establish the details of the strategic partnership by discussing and formulating a joint strategic goal and envisaged results with the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. After this, the partners will draw a program proposal which will serve as the basis at which the grant is awarded.

Civil society organizations can apply at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is mandatory to use the application form 'Dialogue and Dissent'.
