Asset pooling, where various financial institutions pool their investment capital, is becoming increasingly common in financial markets.  It can be a particularly interesting option for pension funds.  Advantages for the parties involved include economies of scale and diversification.  

Asset pooling important for Dutch economy

The Ministry of Finance understands the importance of asset pooling for the Dutch economy and strives to help the Netherlands attain a leading position in the field of international asset pooling.  The Ministry supports asset pooling, where possible, through the use of closed funds for mutual account.
