As a transgender person, you may be eligible for funding for breast prostheses. You must be over 18 and live in the Netherlands.

Eligibility for funding
The funding is intended for male-to-female transgender people with gender dysphoria (gender identity disorder). A male-to-female transgender person is someone who was born a man and is transitioning to live as a transgender person.
Main eligibility criteria for funding
The main eligibility criteria for funding are:
- You have been on treatment with gender-affirming hormones for at least a year, unless this is not possible for medical reasons.
- You have been living in the Netherlands for more than 4 months. You are registered with a municipality.
- You are aged 18 or over.

Applying for funding
Applications for funding (in Dutch) are made via the Dienst Uitvoering Subsidies aan Instellingen (Department for implementing subsidies to institutions, DUS-I). This is part of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS).
