End Evaluation of Solidaridad's Advocacy for Change programme 2016-2020
AfC's goal is to support capacity development of southern CSOs in lobbying and advocating for sustainable and inclusive sectors and landscapes and to convene and mobilize key stakeholders to contribute to systemic changes. The end evaluation looked at elements of key lobby and advocacy interventions that should be (dis)continued or improved and what new elements or interventions should be commenced.

The AfC was part of the Dialogue and Dissent programme (2016-2020). The end evaluation focuses on internal learning aspects. It shows many things went well in those five years, but it also gives recommendations for improvement for future work. Solidaridad has stated that they will take these recommendations into account, but they will also make an assessment whether it is appropriate in a specific situation. The recommendations are valuable, as Solidaridad in a new, larger consortium under the Power of Voices programme has started the Reclaim Sustainability! (RS!) programme (2021-2025), in which they will roughly continue to work that was started under AfC. The recommendations are taken along in the RS! programme.
